Strengthening Collaboration, Cikarang Listrindo Supports the Recovery of Communities Affected by the NTT Earthquake

Recovery after a disaster takes time and requires support from various parties. Therefore, PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk, together with Human Initiative, is working to support communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The meeting also served as an opportunity to strengthen relations and establish sustainable collaboration.
Support for the NTT Earthquake Response
A symbolic handover ceremony took place at the Human Initiative Office on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. On this occasion, Cikarang Listrindo handed over four T-shirts and banners to support the distribution of assistance at the affected locations. Providing material support is one of the forms of collaboration that companies can contribute to as part of disaster response efforts.
Representatives from Cikarang Listrindo attending the meeting came from Jababeka Combined-Cycle Power Plant (PLTGU Jababeka), Babelan Steam Power Plant (PLTU Babelan), and Corporate Communications. The meeting continued with a presentation on Human Initiative’s response efforts, followed by discussions and a question-and-answer session. Through this meeting, both parties gained a better understanding of the needs on the ground and explored potential areas for further collaboration.
A magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck Nagekeo Regency on August 15, 2026. As of August 16, Human Initiative’s assessment recorded 48 fatalities, 110 people injured, and 3,839 people displaced. The earthquake also damaged 373 houses, 87 educational facilities, and 211 healthcare facilities.
To respond to these needs, Human Initiative deployed its Emergency Response Team. The team carried out search and rescue operations, as well as assessments and mapping of community needs. The response efforts subsequently covered food and nutrition, clean water, shelter, basic healthcare, and psychosocial support.
In Nagekeo Regency, the assistance from Cikarang Listrindo will be distributed across two locations. In Maropkot Hamlet, Maropokot Village, Aesesa District, the assistance consists of 53 basic-needs packages, 37 bedding kits, and 25 hygiene kits. Meanwhile, in RT 017, Danga Urban Village, Aesesa District, the assistance includes 47 basic-needs packages, 38 bedding kits, and 25 hygiene kits.
In total, the assistance prepared for the two locations comprises 100 basic-needs packages, 75 bedding kits, and 50 hygiene kits. Previously, Cikarang Listrindo and Human Initiative also collaborated on disaster response efforts in Sumatra. Going forward, both parties remain open to continued communication and potential collaboration in the areas of education and healthcare. By maintaining a strong relationship, the collaboration can continue to evolve in line with community needs and the respective capacities of both parties.
