The agreements were signed by PT Pertamina EP President Director Rachmat Hidajat together with PT Cikarang Listrindo Director Yudho Pratikto and PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan President Director Muhamad Arifin.
The gas sales agreement with PT Cikarang Listrindo will remain valid until September 16, 2035.
The gas supply will come from the Akasia Bagus Field in the Jatibarang Field area, with a total volume of 20 billion standard cubic feet (BSCF).
The gas will be used to support industrial demand in the West Java region.
Meanwhile, Pertamina EP also signed a gas sales agreement with PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan to support oil and gas production and operations in the Rokan Working Area, Riau Province.
The agreement with PHR will remain in effect until December 31, 2030, with a total volume of 35 trillion British Thermal Units (TBTU).
PT Pertamina EP President Director Rachmat Hidajat stated that the collaboration with PT Cikarang Listrindo is a strategic step to ensure reliable and sustainable energy availability for the national industrial sector, particularly in West Java.
“This long-term agreement is expected to provide certainty of energy supply and contribute positively to the competitiveness of industries in West Java, while also supporting regional economic growth,” Rachmat said in a statement on Wednesday.
Through both agreements, Pertamina EP also ensures state revenue from gas sales originating from the company’s working areas in Java and Sumatra.
In addition, the partnerships are part of efforts to strengthen national energy resilience and sovereignty.
For information, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) is a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) that serves as Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding.
PHE manages upstream oil and gas fields operated by Pertamina, both domestically and internationally.
In the western Java region, the Java Regional division is authorized to coordinate upstream oil and gas fields covering PHE ONWJ, PHE OSES, Pertamina EP West Java operations, and Pertamina East Natuna.
The Java Regional working area covers the provinces of DKI Jakarta, Banten, Lampung, Bangka Belitung, and West Java.
The Java Regional division is also continuously working to increase oil and gas production in line with the company’s work plan by implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles as well as Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) standards across all operational lines.
