The private power generation company PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk. (POWR) is strengthening its expansion in the renewable energy (NRE) sector by establishing a new subsidiary.
According to information disclosure, Cikarang Listrindo's controlled subsidiary, PT Energi Baik Alami (EBA), officially established an entity named PT Alami Energi Lestari (AEL) on August 8, 2025. AEL's deed of establishment was approved by the Minister of Law and Human Rights on August 21, 2025.
AEL will engage in various activities, including forestry and its supporting activities, with a primary focus on supporting the company's renewable energy initiatives. AEL is domiciled in South Jakarta, with EBA holding the majority ownership of 44,999 shares or equivalent to 99.998 percent.
POWR management explained that the establishment of AEL will have a positive impact the company's business sustainability, particularly for long-term development in the clean energy sector.

Cikarang Listrindo currently focuses on the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical energy to industrial consumers in the Cikarang area. With the establishment of AEL, the company reaffirms its commitment to the transition toward green energy, in line with the national energy policy directons and global decarbonization trend.
Gas Supply Disruption
Separately, PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk. (POWR) reported a gas supply disruption from its suppliers, PT Pertamina EP and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGAS).
POWR Corporate Secretary Rani Maheswari Miraza explained that the company is currently experiencing gas supply disruption from its suppliers. POWR receives gas from PT Pertamina EP (PEP) and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGAS) under gas supply contracts valid until December 2029 and March 2035, respectively.
An incident and unplanned shutdown occurred at the Subang Field Gathering Station, operated by Pertamina EP. This incident impacted natural gas supply for all PEP customers in West Java, including POWR.
Meanwhile, on August 10, 2025, the company also received initial information from PGAS regarding a decrease in gas distribution pressure to POWR. Subsequently, on August 13, 2025, PGN issued another official notification regarding a critical pressure issue on the South Sumatra West Java (SSWJ) pipeline. This condition indicated a potential drop in gas pressure supplied to the POWR’s power plant.
"In response, we immediately took mitigation measures by utilizing alternative fuels to ensure uninterrupted energy needs for industrial customers until gas supplies from PEP and PGN returned to normal," Rani stated in the information disclosure, quoted on Thursday (August 14, 2025).
