PT Cikarang Listrindo Commemorates World Environment Day with Waste Management Education and River Clean-Up Initiative

Jun 27, 2026 - In commemoration of World Environment Day, PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk organized a series of environmental sustainability initiatives aimed at promoting responsible waste management and raising public awareness of sustainable environmental practices. The activities engaged employees, local communities, and various stakeholders, reflecting the Company's shared commitment to environmental stewardship.
The program commenced with a Knowledge Sharing session featuring Donne Susanto, Environmental Engineer at PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk, who delivered a presentation on the management of non-hazardous and non-toxic waste (Non-B3) under the theme, "Reducing Waste and Microplastics."
The session highlighted the importance of waste segregation at the source, the implementation of the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) principles, and responsible waste management practices to minimize adverse environmental impacts.
Through this educational session, participants gained a deeper understanding of the vital role that individuals and communities play in supporting effective waste management. The initiative was designed to encourage greater environmental responsibility and contribute to the development of cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable communities.
As a tangible demonstration of its commitment to improving waste management within the surrounding communities, PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk also donated waste bins to local community representatives. The donation is expected to enhance community waste management facilities while fostering greater discipline in proper waste disposal and segregation.
The program continued with a river clean-up activity in the surrounding area, where participants worked together to remove waste from the river. This initiative aimed to reduce environmental pollution, protect aquatic ecosystems, and strengthen public awareness of the importance of preserving clean waterways as essential sources of life.
Waste collected during the clean-up was subsequently sorted and delivered to a local Waste Bank for further processing. This initiative supports the implementation of the circular economy concept by enabling recyclable materials to be recovered and reused, thereby reducing the volume of waste sent to landfill.
Through this year's World Environment Day commemoration, PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk aims to strengthen collaboration among the Company, local communities, and all stakeholders in creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment. The initiative also reflects the Company's corporate slogan, "Light That Brings Goodness," while serving as a reminder of the importance of collective action in protecting the environment and ensuring a better future for generations to come.
