Jun 18, 2025 - Successfully implementing the Security Management System (SMP), two National Vital Object (Obvitnas) operators, PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk and PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda, were rewarded certificates. The certificates were handed over directly by Police Inspector General Drs. M.H. Ritonga on behalf of National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, through the Kakorshabara Baharkam Polri. The Ceremony took place at the Royal Palm Hotel, West Jakarta, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Kakorsabhara Baharkam Polri Pol Drs. M.H. Ritonga congratulated both Obvitnas operators for their excellent implementation of the Obvitnas Security Management System (SMP) in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 63 of 2004 on Obvitnas and Police Regulation No. 7 of 2019 on the responsibilities of Obvitnas operators. Both companies received an excellent rating and were awarded the “GOLD” rank.
"Hopefully, this award will further motivate and encourage other Obvitnas operators to work together with the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in carrying out Presidential Decree No. 63 of 2004 and implement the Obvitnas Security Management System in line with their responsibilities as Obvitnas operators," said Pol. Drs. M.H. Ritonga.
Meanwhile, a representative from PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk stated that there are five industrial estates stretching from Cikarang to Cibitung, which cannot be separated from risk management considerations.
"Cikarang Listrindo realize that the SMP plays a role in the security mitigation process. Implementing SMP is important because its management goes beyond guarding the security gates, it involves engaging all functions to maintain the overall security management system.
We build SMP awareness among employees, utilize technology to increase the effectiveness, developing additional competencies aligned with our organizational culture, and harmonize with stakeholders to build strong social security management. Integration is key, starting with the formation of a SMP team involving all departments, so that implementation in the field fosters collaboration rather than resistance.
Every department contributes to employee awareness. New employees receive SMP orientation and training, anf those who perfom well are awarded e-certificates. We have also developed applications such as online audits, patrol applications, and employee monitoring tools. Training goes beyond drills, emphasizing corporate culture so that employees understand our organizational values. We collaborate with community policing units and local leaders to support harmonization. As an example of integration, every management function is reqired to have a Key Performance Indicator relate to security,” the company explained.
Meanwhile, PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda stated that the they have implemented the SMP since 2017. Since then, SMP has improved security discipline because training has become more structured and effective. This has had a very positive impact on us, as security-related incidents have decreased significantly. The SMP is not only for security personnel but for all employees in our company.
"We have developed many security procedures which have strengthened our security system. Hopefully, with this gold certification, we will gain greater trust from investors," the company representative said.
